Manufacturing operations generate some plastic waste. Companies often collect this waste and try to use it by putting a small percentage of waste in with the virgin plastic. The problem is that the rate of generating scrap exceeds the ability to reuse it. Other companies simply write it off, and it is a wasted opportunity.
Plastic scrap is a huge environmental and economic problem. We decided to do something about it and here we are.
Omachron has developed a process to take 100% pre- or post-consumer plastic and transform it into finished goods with excellent material properties and aesthetics. The process is so effective that the output can even take the form of the product originally recycled. This is truly hard core recycling. It contrasts with conventional, plastic-recycling processes that require a large proportion of virgin material mixed with the recycled material.
We have tested the tensile strength of our PVC regrind and it has 99.3% of the strength of the original virgin material molded using our injection molding processes. Other testing of different shapes has the recycled parts do better than the original because of the low stress in the Omachron molded parts.

100% HDPE machining/turning shavings and off-cuts molded into solid blocks - Zero waste facility
A company produced a significant amount of fine HDPE and foamed HDPE plastic waste turnings in the machining of their products using CNC mills, lathes and routers. Additional waste from off-cuts, damaged and incorrect parts was shredded to produce a coarse plastic waste.
Omachron transformed these HDPE and foamed HDPE waste materials into new blocks for machining and into finished parts ready for sale. Omachron enables its customer to be a zero plastic waste manufacturing facility.
100% PVC regrind injection molded into plumbing union
A manufacturer of PVC plumbing fittings has waste product from its molding process that is ground down.
The Omachron molding equipment allows the manufacturer to utilize 100% regrind to mold plastic parts identical in appearance and 99.3% as strong as parts made entirely from virgin material, even after utilizing material that has been reground as many as 10 times.
100% foamed polyethylene regrind molded into solid blocks
A manufacturer of foamed polyethylene products has scrap material from its machining and fabricating process that is ground into small pieces.
Omachron is able to take this material and mold it into a finished blocks out of 100% regrind. These recycled blocks are sent to the manufacturers to be used in production just like virgin parts. A true "no waste" process.
